Advanced Silicon Waterproofing

Star Water Shield

Nano-Technology Superhydrophobic Protection for Concrete & Masonry

Invisible 130° Water-Repellent Barrier

Star Water Shield is a premium nano-technology silicon waterproofing solution. It reacts with moisture and carbon dioxide to generate polymeric silicic acid, creating an invisible, insoluble ultra-hydrophobic barrier with a 130° water contact angle.

The penetrating treatment repels water, reduces efflorescence, and helps prevent moisture infiltration while preserving the natural appearance of concrete and masonry surfaces.

Key Performance Benefits of Star Water Shield

  • Anti-Efflorescence — Helps prevent salt deposits and white staining.
  • Enhanced Durability — Protects against weathering and environmental stress.
  • Corrosion Resistant — Limits moisture that can attack concrete and embedded metal.
  • Chemical Resistant — Withstands acids, alkalis, and harsh chemicals.
  • Long-Lasting Protection — Reliable water repellency with minimal maintenance.
  • Superior Water Resistance — Creates a 130° contact-angle barrier.

The Hidden Threat

3 Silent Moisture Problems Damaging Concrete & Masonry

Water ingress drives efflorescence, corrosion, cracking, and long-term deterioration.

01

Water Seepage Silently Damages Surfaces

Unprotected concrete and masonry absorb moisture, causing internal deterioration, structural weakening, and costly recurring repairs.

02

Efflorescence Ruins Surface Appearance

Moisture carries soluble salts to the surface, leaving white stains that reveal a deeper water-ingress problem.

03

Moisture Accelerates Corrosion

Water can reach steel reinforcement, triggering rust, expansion, cracking, and gradual structural damage.

Why Star Water Shield

6 Reasons Star Water Shield Outperforms Ordinary Waterproofing

One penetrating treatment combines anti-efflorescence, durability, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, long service life, and superhydrophobic water repellency.

Clean Surfaces

Anti-Efflorescence

Limits moisture movement and helps prevent powdery white salt deposits.

Stronger Substrates

Enhanced Durability

Helps reduce water damage, cracking, and weather-driven deterioration.

Reinforcement Protection

Corrosion Resistance

Blocks pores and limits moisture ingress around embedded reinforcement.

Harsh Environments

Chemical Resistance

Resists acids, alkalis, and harsh chemical exposure.

Low Maintenance

Long-Lasting Protection

Creates a durable water-repellent barrier with minimal maintenance.

130° Contact Angle

Superior Water Resistance

Fills pores and capillary voids to resist water ingress, including hydrostatic pressure.

How to Apply

Method of Application

Correct preparation and cross-coat application help the treatment penetrate evenly.

Step 1

Surface Preparation

Clean and dry the surface. Remove dust, oil, grease, paint, plaster, corrosion deposits, and standing water.

Step 2

Mix Thoroughly

Shake until homogeneous and stir for at least 2 minutes with a slow-speed stirrer at 300–400 RPM.

Step 3

Apply 2–3 Coats

Apply undiluted by brush or spray. Cross-coat after 60–90 minutes; use a third coat on highly porous substrates.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Star Water Shield substrates, application, and performance.

What is Star Water Shield and how does it work?

It is a nano-technology silicon solution that creates an invisible superhydrophobic barrier on concrete and masonry.

What surfaces can it be applied on?

Concrete, masonry, brickbat coba, cementitious and plastered surfaces, AAC blocks, stone, fibreboards, marble, and granite.

Is it visible after application?

No. It dries to an invisible finish that preserves the natural appearance.

How many coats are required?

Apply at least two coats. Highly porous substrates may require a third coat.

Does it prevent efflorescence?

Yes. Limiting moisture movement helps stop soluble salts from reaching the surface.

Can it withstand hydrostatic pressure?

Its nano-based treatment fills pores and capillary voids to resist water ingress when correctly applied.

Is it chemical resistant?

Yes. It is designed to resist acids, alkalis, and harsh chemicals.

Can it help improve indoor air quality?

Reducing seepage helps limit damp conditions that encourage mold, fungi, and mildew.
