Star Water Shield is a high-end, solvent-based, nanotechnology-driven hydrophobic penetrating coating made from unique silicons. It reacts with moisture and ambient carbon dioxide to form an insoluble, ultra-hydrophobic, water-repellent coating with a water contact angle of 130°.
This innovative solution prevents water penetration, efflorescence, and corrosion while enhancing durability and improving indoor air quality by inhibiting mold and mildew growth.

How It Works
Surface Preparation
Clean surface of dust, oil, grease, and other contaminants. Ensure it is dry before application.
Mixing
Shake well and mix for 2 minutes using a low-speed stirrer (300-400 RPM).
Application
Apply liberally with brush or spray. Apply subsequent coats perpendicularly after 60-90 minutes.
Curing
Full cure achieved in 24 hours at 25°C, 50% RH. Protect from rain and abrasion during this period.
How to Apply
Application Methods
Spray Application
Use an airless spray for large, even surfaces. Ensure uniform coverage with overlapping passes.
Brush Application
Use a nylon brush for smaller areas or detailed work. Apply liberally ensuring complete coverage.
Surface Preparation
Clean surface thoroughly to remove dust, oil, grease, and other contaminants. Ensure the surface is completely dry before application. For cracks wider than 0.5 mm, fill them appropriately before applying Star Water Shield.
Application Guidelines
Recommended Coats: 2
Temperature Range: 10–35°C
Humidity: Less than 85% RH
Drying Time: 60-90 minutes between coats
Full Cure: 24 hours at 25°C, 50% RH
Important Precautions
- Do not let the first coat fully dry before applying the next coat
- Protect freshly applied surface from rain, foot traffic, and abrasion for at least 24 hours
- Not suitable for submerged surfaces such as swimming pools or water tanks
