How to Apply
Method of Application
Applying Star Water Seal 2K is straightforward
Surface Preparation
Clean the surface thoroughly by removing dust, loose particles, laitance, oil, grease, and other contaminants. Repair all cracks, voids, and damaged areas with polymer-modified mortar, form 45° fillets at corners and junctions, and ensure the substrate is in a Saturated Surface Dry (SSD) condition.
Mixing
Pour the liquid component of Star Water Seal 2K into a clean mixing container and gradually add the powder component. Mix using a slow-speed mixer (300–400 RPM) for 2–3 minutes until a smooth, lump-free slurry is obtained. Allow the mixture to stand for 5–10 minutes, then remix briefly. Do not add water.
Application
Pre-wet the surface and bring it to a touch-dry (SSD) condition. Apply the first coat evenly with a stiff nylon brush, embed a 45 GSM glass fibre mesh at corners and joints while wet, then apply the second coat perpendicular to the first once the initial coat has dried.
