Star Leak Proof - is a low viscous, injection grout composed of PU base formulated to be placed by free flow under gravity, or may be injected using a suitable hand or mechanical pump. The injection grouting system provides rapid strength gain and also has excellent penetration due to low viscosity and helps the concrete obtain mechanical properties several times those of premium concrete. Due to the non-shrink nature of Star Leak Proof PU, concrete pores, capillaries, and cracks is completely sealed. The hardened grout is resistant to water ingress, stable in seawater, and impervious to freeze-thaw cycles. It is also resistant to most chemicals.

Working Principle

  • Star Leak Proof Injection grouting is a method of filling the cracks, open joints, voids, or honeycombs, in concrete or masonry structural members. This is done under pressure with a grout material that cures in place to produce the desired results like improved compressive, tensile, flexural strength of concrete and preventing water ingress. Star Leak Proof is a flowable material which has negligible shrinkage to fill the gap or voids and remain stable without cracking, delamination, or crumbling. They are used for waterproofing and the repair and strengthening of concrete and masonry structural members.

HOW TO APPLY

  • Surface Preparation

    1. Water ponding test or Thermal imaging of the substrate should be carried out and leak points should be marked.
    2.  Grooves of small sizes should be drilled on the negative side to place G.I. nozzles at definite intervals.
    3. Measures to be taken to lightly block subsequent G.I. nozzles while pressure grouting in order to ensure complete pore filling of concrete.
  • Protect industrial roofs with Star Water Seal - Industrial: Ideal for internal, and external applications.

    Mixing

    1. Shake Star Leak Proof until homogenous, then pour it into the mixing container and thoroughly mix and stir for at least 2 minutes using a slow speed (300-400 RPM) drill machine attached with a mixing paddle. 
    2. Retempering with water or solvent should not be done. Keep on stirring during application to ensure grout does not contain lumps.

  • Application

    1. During pressure grouting keep polymer modified mortar ready to block tip of G.I. Nozzle.
    2. Star Leak Proof can be pressure grouted manually or mechanically.
