Presenting Star Glue Shield - Two Component Multipurpose anti-corrosive bonding agent with superior waterproofing

Star Glue Shield is a two-component, epoxy & zinc-phosphate based high-performance, fine textured, paste with excellent bonding properties to all substrates. It acts as an anti corrosive multipurpose sealing paste onto metal, cementitious, concrete, wooden and tiling surfaces including properties such as resistance to chemicals, penetration of water, oils and liquids. The cured material from a tough, impermeable barrier that resists scratches, stains, chemical damage, and abrasion. Suitable for application in processing plants, industrial, commercial, and residential structures, vehicles.

  • Excellent Waterproofing

Star Glue Shield creates a tough watering sealing layer resistant to any kind of water ingress. It also bridges and blocks holes in G.I. sheds, which cause leakage.

  • Multipurpose Bonding Agent

It can bond to a variety of substrate, including metal, cementitious, concrete, wooden and tiling surfaces, enamel, metal and indirect composite.

  • Anti Corrosive

It forms a protective layer over surfaces, maintaining the structural and compositional integrity of surfaces to prevent them from collapsing due to the action of corrosives.

  • Ease Of Application

It is easy to mix and apply with a putty blade, which requires only regular cleaning without the need for special maintenance procedures.

  • Chemical Resistant

It provides resistance to acids, chemicals and toxins which helps in maintaining a pristine condition of the structure, especially in manufacturing plants where chemical spills can occur.

  • Compatibility

Star Glue Shield has excellent compatibility and is ideal for steel surfaces, which may be overcoated.

  • High Tensile Strength

Due to this property, it bonds well to metals and plastics, including difficult-to-bond, low surface energy plastic, that require durable and robust adhesion.

  • Longevity

Star Glue Shield when properly installed maintained, can last many years, providing a cost-effective bonding solution over its lifespan.

Unique Selling Proposition USP

The Unique Selling point (USP) of Star Glue Shield an epoxy bonding agent typically includes its high bond strength, durability, and versatility. Here are some key points that highlight the USP of Star Glue Shield epoxy bonding agents:

High Bond Strength: Epoxy bonding agents are known for their superior bonding strength, which often exceeds the tensile strength of concrete itself. This makes them ideal for critical structural applications.

Versatility: They can be used on a variety of substrates, including concrete, steel, and iron, and are suitable for both horizontal and vertical surfaces.

Durability: Epoxy bonding agents are resistant to chemicals, abrasion, and environmental conditions, ensuring long-lasting performance.

Ease of Application: These agents are easy to mix and apply, and they provide ample working time for adjustments before curing.

Moisture Tolerance: They can be effective even on damp surfaces, which is a significant advantage in real-world conditions.

Environmental Resistance: Epoxy bonding agents are formulated to be resistant to water, waste, and sea water, as well as dilute inorganic acids and mineral oils.

Barrier Properties: They act as a barrier coat to the migration of chloride ions from the concrete substrate, which is crucial for preventing corrosion.

These characteristics make Star Glue Shield epoxy bonding agent a go-to choice for professionals in construction and repair, ensuring strong, durable, and reliable adhesion for a variety of applications.

PACKING

Star Glue Shield is supplied in 1, 5, 20 litre containers.

  • The Working Principle of Star Glue Shield Epoxy bonding agent involves a two-components system: a base (Part A) and a hardener (Part B). When there two components are mixed together, they undergo a chemical reaction that results in a strong, durable bond. Here's a step-by-step explanation of these process:

Mixing: The base and hardener are mixed in precise proportions to ensure a proper reaction. The components are usually coloured differently to provide visual evidence of complete mixing.

Application: The mixed epoxy is then applied to the prepared surface, which should be clean, dry, and free from contaminants for optimal adhesion.

Curing: After application the epoxy begins to cure, a process that take few days. During this time, the epoxy hardens and develops its full bond strength.

Bond Formation: The Cured epoxy forms a strong bond that can adhere to various construction materials, including cementitious material, steel and other substrates.

Properties: The resulting bond is highly resistant to water, abrasion, chemicals, and environmental conditions, making it ideal for structural applications.

  • Surface Preparation

    1. A clean, sound surface with a good mechanical key is the goal of surface preparation. Dust, plaster, oil, paint, grease, corrosion deposit, and any other harmful materials should all be removed from substrate by cleaning them thoroughly.
    2. To Provide a sufficient key, smooth surfaces must be mechanically roughened, for example, by scabbling, needle gunning, or grit blasting.
    3. There must not be any water residue on the surface of the substrate.
  • Protect industrial roofs with Star Water Seal - Industrial: Ideal for internal, and external applications.

    Mixing

    1. Star Glue Shield shall be left open for 10 mins after initial unsealing.
    2. Prior to mixing, shake Star Glue Shield Part A and Part B briefly until homogeneous, then pour both parts into the mixing container and thoroughly mix and stir for at least 2 minutes using a slow speed drill machine attached with a mixing paddle.
  • Application

    1. Apply the first coat uniformly with a knifing blade.
    2. Maintain a consistent spreading rate during application.
    3. The second coat of Star Glue Shield is to be applied perpendicularly with an interval of 8-10 hours without any dilution.
    4. Apply three to four coats depending on the DFT required in the Specific Substrate.
