How to Apply
How to Apply Star Floor Paint with Lamination in 3 Stages
This is a two-part system — Star Floor Paint goes down first, then the lamination top-coat seals and protects it once fully cured.
Prepare & Paint the Base
Remove dirt, dust, grease, oil, and old paint, then fill and sand any imperfections. Apply Star Floor Paint in two or more coats with a brush, roller, or sprayer, working perpendicular passes and allowing 4–6 hours between coats.
Let the Base Coat Cure
Allow Star Floor Paint to fully cure before applying the lamination top-coat, so it bonds to a completely dry, hardened surface.
Apply the Lamination Top-Coat
Mix the lamination's two components at a 4:1 ratio and apply with a brush, roller, or spray in two coats, each perpendicular to the last, to seal the floor with its protective, glossy finish.
