How to apply

Surface preparation
- A clean, sound surface with a good mechanical key is the goal of surface preparation. Dust, plaster, oil, paint, grease, corrosion deposits, and any other harmful materials should all be removed from substrates.
- Joints to be opened until mother slab and packed with 25 mm backer rod, ensuring gap-free packing.
- On metal surfaces, remove scale, rust, or other coatings to expose a bright white surface.

Mixing
- Before mixing, shake Star Expansion Shield briefly until homogenous, then pour into the mixing container and thoroughly mix and stir for at least 2 minutes using a slow speed (300-400 RPM) drill machine attached with a mixing paddle.

Application
- Fill the joint with pour grade/ gun grade sealant Star Expansion Shield with a minimum depth of 20mm and level with a spatula or putty blade; vertical joints shall be filled with gun grade.
