How to apply

  • Surface Preparation

    • A clean, sound surface with a good mechanical key is the goal of surface preparation. Dust, plaster, oil, paint, grease, corrosion deposits, and any other harmful materials should all be removed from substrates.
    • There must not be any water residue on the surface of the substrate.  

  • Mixing

    • Before mixing, shake Star Damp Primer briefly until homogenous, then pour both components into the mixing container and thoroughly mix and stir for at least 2 minutes using a slow speed (300-400 RPM) drill machine attached with a mixing paddle.   

  • Application

    • Apply Star Damp Primer onto the surface to be coated with brush, roller, or spray.
    • Two or more layers can be applied based on requirement.
    • Subsequent layers are to be applied at an interval of 4 hours perpendicular to each other.

  • Work the mortar

    Smooth out the mortar using a float or similar tool to ensure an even application.

  • Cure and dry

    Allow the applied Star Damp Shield - water based to cure and dry according to the recommended time period mentioned in the product instructions. This will ensure optimal performance.
