STAR CORROSION SHIELD
Star Corrosion Shield is a specialized protective coating that is effective for prevention or treatment of rusting on metal surfaces. This particular composition has been made to withstand water, acidic solutions (such as salts or acids) and other various types of environmental degradation which might cause damage in metals such as iron or steel within structures like bridges or even body panels on cars SCS finds applications in different sectors such as those dealing with vehicles like cars – including trucks), ships (boat/yachts), buildings/houses especially made using specific materials which can be affected by these issues too.
Issues
- Are you tired of concrete spalling and swelling due to corrosion issues?
- Are you tired of crack formations due to corrosion issues?
Presenting Star Corrosion Shield - Anti-Corrosion Protective Star Corrosion Shield is an air drying compound that comes in two packs and is an epoxy-based mix of zinc phosphate and zinc chromate.
It has exceptional corrosion resistance and is perfect for fixing exposed reinforced concrete. Star Corrosion Shield is the recommended anticorrosive primer for exposed steel reinforcement and structural steel on site. It actively prevents corrosion and prevents the near by areas from producing early anodes. When combined and applied to steel structures or reinforcement, Star Corrosion Shield, provides an impermeable layer that is highly durable, adherent film, which prevents the structure's corrosion process.

Unique Selling Proposition (USP)
Star Corrosion Shield Epoxy-based anti-corrosive coatings are highly valued in the industry for their unique set of properties that make them ideal for protecting metal structures and components from corrosion. Here are some of the unique selling points (USPs) of Star Corrosion Shield:
- Strong Adhesion: it has excellent adhesion to various substrates, including steel and concrete, which is crucial for long-term protection against corrosion.
- Chemical Resistance: It is resistant to a wide range of chemicals, making them suitable for use in harsh industrial environments where exposure to chemicals is common.
- Durability: It is known for its durability and ability to withstand extreme conditions without degrading, which translates to less frequent maintenance and lower costs over time.
- Barrier Protection: it acts as an effective barrier, preventing moisture, oxygen, and corrosive agents from reaching the metal surface.
- Electrochemical Impedance: offers high electrochemical impedance, which means it can effectively resist the electrochemical reactions that cause corrosion.
- These characteristics make Star Corrosion Shield epoxy-based anti-corrosive coating a preferred choice for protecting assets in industries such as marine, automotive, aerospace, and construction, where corrosion can lead to significant safety risks and economic losses. The ability to tailor the properties of these coatings to meet specific requirements also adds to their versatility and appeal.
PACKING
Star Corrosion Shield is supplied in 1, 5, 20 litre containers.
Working Principle of Star Corrosion Shield
The working principle of epoxy-based anti-corrosive coatings involves a chemical reaction that leads to the formation of a durable protective layer on metal surfaces. Here’s a simplified explanation:
- Chemical Reaction: Epoxy coatings are formed by the reaction between an epoxide resin and a polyamine hardener. When these two components mix, they undergo a curing process.
- Curing Process: The curing process transforms the liquid epoxy mixture into a solid polymer through a cross-linking reaction. This process can take from minutes to hours, depending on the formulation.
- Formation of Protective Layer: As the epoxy cures, it forms a resilient protective layer that adheres strongly to the metal surface. This layer is impermeable and acts as a barrier against moisture, oxygen, and other corrosive elements.
- Corrosion Inhibition: The solidified epoxy layer prevents the electrochemical processes that cause corrosion. It does this by physically separating the metal from corrosive agents and by its inherent chemical resistance.
- Surface Protection: The coating’s surface may also be designed to be hydrophobic, reducing water absorption and further protecting the metal from corrosion.
- Through this multi-step process, epoxy-based anti-corrosive coatings provide long-lasting protection for metals in various industrial and marine environments, safeguarding against the detrimental effects of corrosion
