How to Apply Star Silicate Shield
Three simple steps for a durable mineral paint finish.
Surface Preparation
Aim for a clean, sound surface with a good mechanical key. Thoroughly clean substrates to remove plaster, oil, paint, grease, corrosion deposits and any other harmful materials. Laitance needs to be removed mechanically.
Mixing
Pour Star Silicate Shield into the mixing container and mix thoroughly for at least 2 minutes at slow speed (300-400 RPM) using a drill with a mixing paddle. Do not retemper with water or solvent.
Application
Apply two or more coats on the prepared surface with a brush, roller or spray.
