Method of Application
Applying Star Metal Shield Aurelia is straightforward
Surface Preparation
For metal, ceramic, and certain plastics, clean the surface thoroughly to remove dust, oil, paint, grease, and corrosion deposits, then mechanically roughen smooth surfaces (scabbling, needle gunning, or grit blasting) so no water residue is left. For concrete, make sure the surface is clean, dry, and free of loose particles, with any large pores or cracks repaired using Star Water Proof Exterior bond coat, mortar, and topcoat — surface moisture should not exceed 4%.
Mixing
Leave Star Metal Shield Aurelia open for 10 minutes after unsealing. Shake Part A and Part B briefly until well blended, then combine both parts and stir thoroughly for at least 2 minutes in a 3:1 ratio using a stirrer. Apply within an hour of mixing.
Application
Apply the first coat evenly with a brush, spray, or roller, keeping a consistent spreading rate. Apply the second coat perpendicular to the first after a 4-6 hour gap, without diluting. Two or more coats can be applied if needed.
