Anti-Graffiti Protective Coating
Star Graffiti Shield (Solvent-Based)
A 2K Transparent Coating That Makes Graffiti Wipe Off Walls With Just Water
Star Graffiti Shield is a two-part transparent coating that creates an invisible protective layer over concrete, brick, stone, and metal. Spray paint and marker ink sit on top of this layer instead of soaking into the surface. That means graffiti wipes away with just water or a mild detergent — no sandblasting, no harsh solvents, and no damage to the wall underneath.
Beyond graffiti protection, this coating repels water and holds up against sun, rain, and temperature swings. Painted surfaces, murals, and public art keep their original colour and gloss for longer as a result. It's also low in VOCs, making it a safer choice for applicators, residents, and the environment. That makes it ideal for bridges, underpasses, transit stations, and street-facing walls that are frequent vandalism targets. Star Graffiti Shield is manufactured by StarShield Technologies, part of a wider range of protective coatings engineered for tough outdoor environments.

The Problem
Tired of Cleaning the Same Wall Again and Again?
Without protection, every act of graffiti vandalism means another round of costly, damaging clean-up — an anti-graffiti coating breaks that cycle.
Repeated Graffiti Vandalism
Unprotected walls in public spaces get tagged again and again. Every clean-up cycle costs time, labour, and money, with no way to stop the next round of vandalism.
Harsh Chemicals Damage Surfaces
Traditional graffiti removal often relies on sandblasting or aggressive solvents that strip paint, roughen concrete, and shorten the life of the surface underneath.
Weather Fades & Weakens Walls
Sun, rain, and temperature swings gradually dull colour and gloss on unprotected exterior surfaces, leaving public buildings and infrastructure looking worn and neglected.
Benefits
6 Reasons Star Graffiti Shield Keeps Public Spaces Clean
Star Graffiti Shield combines an invisible hydrophobic barrier with a low-VOC, weather-tough formula — so graffiti wipes away easily and surfaces keep their original look for years.
Repels Water & Graffiti Alike
Star Graffiti Shield forms an invisible, water-repelling barrier that stops spray paint and moisture from bonding to the surface in the first place.
Graffiti Wipes Off With Water
Because paint sits on the coating instead of soaking in, most graffiti can be removed with plain water or a mild detergent — no sandblasting or harsh solvents needed.
Built to Handle the Outdoors
The cured coating resists UV exposure, rain, and temperature swings, so it keeps performing through repeated cleaning cycles and every season.
Safer for People & Environment
With under 100 g/L of VOCs, Star Graffiti Shield is a safer, lower-odour option to apply in occupied public spaces and residential areas.
Preserves Colour & Gloss
The coating is fully transparent and doesn't change the surface underneath, keeping murals, brickwork, and painted walls looking as intended.
Cuts the Cost of Vandalism
By making removal fast and damage-free, Star Graffiti Shield reduces the labour and material cost of repeated graffiti clean-up over the life of a building.
How to Apply
Method of Application
Applying this anti-graffiti coating is straightforward
Surface Preparation
Remove dust, plaster, oil, paint, grease, corrosion deposits, and any other contaminants that could interfere with adhesion. Make sure there's no water residue on the surface before you begin.
Mixing
Shake Star Graffiti Shield briefly until it's uniform. Then pour Part A and Part B into a mixing container. Stir thoroughly for at least 2 minutes using a slow-speed (300-400 RPM) drill with a mixing paddle.
Application
Apply two or more coats using a brush, roller, or spray. Apply each additional coat in a perpendicular direction to the last, leaving a 4-hour gap between coats.
FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Discover everything about Star Graffiti Shield, our transparent anti-graffiti coating for public and private surfaces.
What is Star Graffiti Shield?
Star Graffiti Shield is a two-part, transparent protective coating that forms an invisible barrier on concrete, brick, stone, and metal. Graffiti and moisture can't bond to the surface underneath.
How do I remove graffiti after this coating is applied?
Because the coating stops paint from soaking into the surface, most graffiti wipes off easily with plain water or a mild detergent — no sandblasting or harsh chemicals needed.
Will it change the look of my wall or mural?
No. Star Graffiti Shield is fully transparent and preserves the surface's original colour and gloss — it won't alter the appearance of the substrate underneath.
What surfaces can it be used on?
It works on concrete, brick, stone, and metal, making it suitable for bridges, underpasses, train stations, bus shelters, commercial and residential buildings, murals, statues, and monuments.
Is Star Graffiti Shield safe to apply in public or residential areas?
Yes. It has a low-VOC formula (under 100 g/L), making it safer for applicators and the surrounding community compared to traditional solvent-heavy coatings.
How is Star Graffiti Shield applied?
After surface preparation, Part A and Part B are mixed together and stirred for at least 2 minutes. Two or more coats are then applied by brush, roller, or spray, with a 4-hour gap between coats.
How long does the coating last?
The coating is built to withstand UV exposure, rain, and temperature fluctuations, providing long-lasting protection through repeated cleaning cycles.
What is the coverage and shelf life?
Star Graffiti Shield covers approximately 150-180 sq. ft. per litre per coat and has a shelf life of 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored in a sealed pack.
What pack sizes are available for Star Graffiti Shield?
It's available in 5 Litre and 20 Litre pack sizes (Part A + Part B). It's also non-flammable, which makes storage and handling simpler.
What precautions should I follow during application?
Avoid applying in direct sunlight, strong wind, extreme temperatures, or high humidity, and protect the freshly coated surface from rain until it's cured. The substrate must be completely free of existing graffiti, graffiti shadows, or other contaminants before coating. If the surface was previously coated with PU paint or Nano Metal Primer, lightly sand it and wipe it with a silicone cleaner first. Clean tools and equipment with water immediately after use — once cured, the coating can only be removed mechanically.
Is Star Graffiti Shield safe to use?
Wear protective gloves and goggles, and avoid skin or eye contact. If it gets on your skin, wash well with soap and water; if it gets in your eyes, rinse thoroughly with clean water and seek medical advice. Seek medical attention immediately if swallowed. While damp, the product may release alkali that can irritate skin and eyes, so make sure the application area is well ventilated.
How should Star Graffiti Shield be stored and handled?
Store it in sealed containers, kept closed when not in use, out of reach of children and pets. Don't dilute it while storing. Clean up any spills immediately with water, and dispose of expired or unused material according to local environmental regulations.
