The Problem
Common Industrial Flooring Issues
Wear and tear, chemical exposure, and heavy traffic all demand more than what quick installation and curing time alone can offer. Star Floor Shield Cementitious PU is built to solve all three.
Wear and Tear on Flooring
Exposure to harsh weather conditions and constant use accelerates wear and tear, shortening the life of ordinary floor finishes.
Chemical Spills & Resistance Requirements
Laboratories, workshops, and food processing environments face frequent chemical exposure that ordinary flooring cannot withstand.
Demand for High-Traffic, Impact-Resistant Flooring
Heavy machinery movement, vehicles, and constant foot traffic demand a floor that resists impact and abrasion without deteriorating.

How to Apply
Method of Application
Applying Star Floor Shield Cementitious PU is straightforward
Surface Preparation & Priming
Ensure the substrate has a tensile strength of at least 1.5 N/mm². The concrete must be clean, sound, and free from dust, paint, and oils; new concrete should cure for at least 28 days. Apply MOT Primer to all areas, with multiple coats for highly porous substrates.
Scratch Coat & Mixing
Mix Part A and Part B of the scratch coat with an electric stirrer, apply with a trowel and roller, then broadcast sand for a firm grip with the topcoat. Mix the main components thoroughly before application.
Application & Curing
Apply the mixed material without delay using a trowel or depth set rake, then roll with a spiked roller to release trapped air. Protect the area during initial curing and avoid temperatures below 10°C or above 85% relative humidity.
