How to Apply Star Aqua Shield Transparent with Lamination in 3 Stages
This is a two-part system — Star Aqua Shield Transparent goes down first, then the lamination top-coat seals and protects it once fully cured.
Prepare & Apply Star Aqua Shield Transparent
Clean the surface until it is dry and free of dust, oil, grease, or loose particles. Shake and mix Star Aqua Shield Transparent for at least 2 minutes at 300–400 RPM, then apply two or more coats by brush, roller, or sprayer.
Let the Membrane Cure
Allow Star Aqua Shield Transparent to fully cure — typically 24 to 48 hours after the final coat — before applying the lamination top-coat, so it bonds to a completely dry, hardened membrane.
Apply the Lamination Top-Coat
Mix the lamination's two components at a 4:1 ratio and apply with a brush, roller, or spray in two coats, each perpendicular to the last, to seal the surface with its protective, non-yellowing, crystal-clear finish.
